Wedding Testimonial

The idyllic setting and hard-working staff at the Donaldson-Brown center made our wedding day one of the best days of our lives.

The bride and her bridesmaids used one of the master suites to dress and have their hair styled, the groomsmen congregated in the billiards room, and our guest were able to roam the beautiful grounds.  Some found a nice seat in the mansion's library, while others were drawn to the cliffs and views over the Susquehanna River.  Our ceremony was perfect on one side of the lawn overlooking the river (complete with bald eagles flying overhead during our vows!) and the reception flowed flawlessly to the other side of the lawn, with dinner, dessert, and drinks staged in the house with another bar set up under the big oak tree.  Our photos were taking around the stately manor, complete with a picture-perfect sunset over the Susquehanna.  Even today when viewing our wedding photos friends ask where we were, and invariably are surprised when we answer, "Cecil County, Maryland"!  Most importantly, the staff and management at the Donaldson-Brown center were diligent, eager to serve us, and great to work with, and we owe our happy day to them.
